Negotiation

Time stood still
As the curtains moved
With the cold breeze

In the morning hour
They both held on to each other
Willing to go all the way

It wasn't love or desire
Neither was it rebellion
No moral codes to be broken here

Time stood still
As in their embrace
They both realized
It will never be
For their end was crafted even before they had begun

She wanted numbness
He wanted soft comfort
So they knew
It's enough to be each other's audience
The end doesn't apply, that way.
